Client Policies
Business Hours:
In order to serve clients in all US time zones better, I will be available from 9 AM to 5 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time), Monday through Friday. I try to give clients as much notice as possible if I need to be out of the office or am planning a vacation.
Contact Methods:
I can be reached by phone, email and fax. If you're unable to reach me immediately, please be assured that I will respond as soon as I am able. My email and voice mail messages are checked on a regular basis.
Working Together/Deadlines:
Regular communication is key in a professional relationship. In an ongoing relationship, I request that my clients send me a weekly schedule of tasks they'd like completed, noting the deadline of each task. Please be as specific as possible, so that I can prioritize accordingly. I do everything possible to help my clients complete all of their projects during normal business hours ('last minute projects' are subject to a 25% surcharge). If I'm unable to work on a project for a client, for any reason, I will respond as soon as possible so that other arrangements can be made, such as referring them to another virtual assistant.
The JETERACTIVE / Client Relationship:
I am an independent contractor. This means that I own my business, pay my own taxes, work from my own office, own my own equipment, set my own hours, and bill you for my services. It is important that my clients understand this and treat this as a partnership in which I work with them, not for them. You, as the client, will not provide JETERACTIVE, LLC or myself any type of fringe benefits (including health insurance benefits, paid vacation, or any other employee benefit).
Decisions:
I'm always happy to offer any opinions, resources and referrals that I may have, but ultimately my clients are responsible for the decisions made about their work and their business. If a client decides to work with someone based on my referral, they must understand that each working relationship is completely separate, unless I am asked to become involved. I am always happy to oversee any work that a client has done by someone else, whether I have referred the person or not.
Confidentiality:
Each client's professional & personal matters are completely confidential. Under no circumstances will I divulge any information about my clients or their business unless I'm asked to do so specifically by them, on their behalf, in the context of our working relationship. If our professional relationship should end for any reason, I will return all records, notes, documentation & other items used during the time we worked together.
Changes/Endings:
A client/VA relationship should always be satisfactory; communication is the key to that. Fees, work, and even the strength of the relationship can be affected by changes, but I'll always work with a client to find a solution that will benefit us both. However, in the event that things are not working out and the time comes for a partnership to end, please note that this agreement is not locked for a specific time, and may be terminated by either the client or myself.
